We're a construction training company primarily for highways, groundworks and flooring. The bulk of this business is apprenticeship training but all paid employment, so we do commercial courses as well, health and safety, street-works and plant training.
We're based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, but we do training nationwide we've got apprentices from all over the country while they're with us; they stay in accommodation also as assessors for plant and construction we travel nationwide.
There are massive skills shortages, especially with groundworkers and plant operators, so we are trying to do our bit to fill the skills gaps. It is hard; it's challenging, but I think we're doing our bit; we've got one hundred and forty apprentices on at the moment, so that's a hundred and forty towards however many thousand skills gaps we've got!
As a company, we like to use the most up-to-date technology; we've got the latest tools, equipment and materials, so, when we came across SiteStak, we just thought it would be brilliant to introduce with our apprenticeship training.
We're a big believer that if somebody is using that tools and equipment on-site, then we can replicate it here to make sure they're using it in a safe manner as well, to be fair.
Why use SiteStak? Health and Safety is the first reason, site tidiness, also productivity as well something as simple as that chamfer tool which just saves a lot of time. I just wish MuckStopper and SiteStak were available when I was on-site, but yeah, it's a great bit of kit!
